Finally, Venice. The city on the water and known for its masks and glasware. I was really excited to get on the boat towards this oh-so-famous city. And I have to admit, this is indeed a charming and vivid place. The typical gondolas sail here and there and masks are for sale everywhere. Also, there are a lot of buildings that seem worth a visit. An extra advantage is that there are lots of small stores that offer beautiful Venetian specialities. Besides is the Venetian ice cream defenitely welcome on a nice day.
Eindelijk, Venetië. De stad op het water en bekend om de maskers en het glaswerk. Ik was wel redelijk enthousiast om op de boot te stappen om eindelijk deze beroemde stad te mogen bezichtigen. En ik moet toegeven, dit is inderdaad wel een charmante plaats dat bruist van het volk. De typische gondels varen hier en daar en maskers zijn overal te koop. Ook zijn er vele gebouwen die mij de moeite lijken om eens binnen te stappen. Een extra pluspunt aan deze stad zijn de winkeltjes die mooie Venetiaanse specialiteiten aanbieden. Daarnaast is hun ijs zeker aangenaam op een mooie dag.
